Sales Manager

Description: Canam Group is the largest fabricator of steel components in North America. The Corporation operates 25 plants across North America and employs over 4,650 people in Canada, the United States, Romania and India.   We are seeking a self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude to manage sales activities of our Southwest region, consistent with our corporate mission, values and departmental financial objectives.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Directing a team of Sales Representatives by establishing goals, targets, guidelines, training and staff development. Monitoring lists of prospective projects and customers available for bid to create sales opportunities. Acting as a liaison between the Sales Department and other internal sales-related units and departments. Analyzing sales statistics to formulate policies and to assist sales personnel in promoting products and services. Reviewing market data to determine customer needs, volume potential, pricing schedules and to develop sales strategies to achieve division goals. Representing the company at trade association meetings and traveling throughout the region to promote products and services. Maintaining contact with all customer accounts and assisting Sales Representatives to develop and enhance sales relationships with clients. Analyzing and controlling expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements. Coordinating with other departments in the pursuit of a better customer experience. Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in business, engineering or construction with five or more years of sales experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents and construction/engineering drawings. Ability to respond quickly and efficiently to all inquiries from customers, contractors, consultants and other industry stakeholders. Effective written and verbal communications skills with the ability to effectively present information to customers, consultants, sales representatives and other company departments. Extensive understanding of verbal and written contract agreements as related to acceptable industry standards with a working knowledge of SJI and SDI specifications, Codes of Standard Practice and related technical publications. Knowledge and understanding of building construction combined with steel design concepts presented on architectural and engineering drawings. Ability to use computer software comfortably for producing, maintaining and presenting all sales-related documents and processes. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
